  • Khirsu

Khirsu is at a total altitude of about 1700 meters above sea level and it is at a total distance of 15 km from Pauri. It is a lovely and peaceful place that is filled with trees of Deodar, Apple and Oak. The location is in the Pauri Garhwal district in the state of Uttarakhand. Khirsu offers travelers and tourists a good opportunity of viewing the tall and imposing Himalaya Mountain Ranges.

Nearest Airport: Jolly Grant Airport (174 kms)

By Road: A motorable road connects Khirsu with Pauri, the nearest town. Pauri is well connected through roads with Dehradun, Rishikesh and Kotdwar. But, a trek from Pauri, down the Kandoliya hills offers the most exciting alternative route to Khirsu.

  • Pangot

Pangot is a small picturesque hamlet famous for its jungles and birds, located just 15 kms from Nainital. The main attraction of Pangot are its birds; around 580 bird species have been recorded in this area. One can see a variety of Himalayan species along the way such as lammergeier, Himalayan griffon, blue-winged minla, spotted & slaty-backed forktail, rufous-bellied woodpecker, rufous-bellied niltava, khalij pheasant, variety of thrushes etc. Almost 150 bird species have been recorded at Pangot and the surrounding areas. The numerous perennial & seasonal creeks are home to a variety of flora and fauna including leopards, yellow-throated Himalayan martens, Himalayan palm civets, ghorals,barking deer and sambhar.

By Road: Pangot is well connected by motorable roads with major cities of northern India. Buses and taxis to Jeolikot are easily available. It is situated 17kms before Nainital on NH-87.

Kanatal is a city in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Kanatal is 78 km from Dehradun(capital of the State Uttarakhand), 38 km from Mussoorie and 12 km from Chamba. It is on the Chamba-Mussoorie highway and nearly 300 km from Delhi. Trekking, indulging in walking trails, going for picnics, indulging in photography, meditating and Yoga camps are some of the activities which attract tourists to this place.

It is located in the village Bhubneshwar. Legend and folklore have it that this underground cave enshrines Lord Shiva and thirty three koti Gods. The cave is 160 m long and 90 feet deep from the point of entrance. Built by the flow of water, Patal Bhuvaneshwar is not just one cave, rather a series of caves within caves.

Chaukori is a tiny hill station in the Pithoragarh district set among the lofty peaks, of the western Himalayan Range in the Kumaon Division of Uttarakhand, India. Gwaldam is a little lethargic town, on the border of Garhwal and Kumaon. Set amidst green woods and apple orchards, it is located at an altitude of 1629 m.40 km away from Kausani. Gwaldam offers a fascinating view of Himalayan peaks Nanda Devi (7817 mt), Trishul (7120 mt) and Nanda Ghunti (6309 mt). Gwaldam with its salubrious climate is a little heaven nestling in the woods. There are several orchards generally of apple. From Gwaldam, the road winds its way through dense forests and terraced fields dotted with rustic cottages of small towns.

A sleepy hamlet, amazingly scenic beautiful village, surrounded by greenish and yellowish paddy fields, Mori is located on the banks of renowned Tons River. Mori is a part of the Tons valley, have a unique culture and history. Local folks boast that they are the descendants of the Kauravas and Pandavas, the mythological royal warriors and kings in the epic age of Mahabharatha.

By Road: Buses from Dehradun to Purola are easily available. To reach Mori one must change for a taxi or bus to reach Mori from Purola. Mori is situated 30kms from Purola. The other route to reach Mori is from Chakrata via Hanol.

  • Jageshwar

Jageshwar is a Hindu pilgrimage town in Almora district, Uttarakhand, believed to carry the Nagesh Jyotirlinga dedicated to Shiva, located 36 km northeast of Almora, in Kumaun region. There are around 124 temples that are located in the town and these include many small stone temples and large temple complexes as well. The Dandeshwar Temple is the biggest of the lot and many devotes can be seen in here. Among the oldest standing temples is the Mritunjaya Temple.

Situated at an elevation of 1,220 meters above sea level, Barkot is one of the popular destinations situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. The district is a part of Garhwal division. The Barkot city is surrounded on the north by the Dehradun district, on the northeast by Tibet, on the east by Chamoli, on the southeast by the Rudraprayag district and on the south by Tehri Garhwal district.
