  • Auli, Uttarakhand

Auli is one of the best and favourite place among the ski lovers. Auli is a small Himalayan hill station situated in Chamoli District in Uttarakhand. This beautiful place is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests, plus the Nanda Devi and Nar Parvat mountains. Auli has also hosted the first SAF Winter Games in India in 2011 and ever since this place has gained immense recognition in the winter sports world. The skiing slopes here range from 2000m to 3000m with just the perfect amount of snow on them.

  • Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir

Gulmarg is popular as a heartland of skiing and regarded as the 7th best skiing and snowboarding destination of Asia. Gulmarg is like a heaven, situated in Baramla District of jammu and Kashmir. Gulmarg has scenic geographical location and its unparalleled skiing slopes, Kongdori and Aparwahat Peak. A naturally groomed 450m slope offers an exhilarating skiing experience to skiers at Kongdori, whereas from Apparwat ridge there is an 800m descend that apparently offers once in a lifetime experience.

  • Solang Valley, Himachal Pradesh

Solang Valley is situated around 14 Kms away from Manali, one of the most popular holiday destination in North India. The ecstatic and thrilling sports like skiing and paragliding make it an ideal destination for adventure sports in India. Solang valley is also easy reachable from big cities like Delhi and Chandigarh.

  • Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir

Pahalgam is famous for its premium snow skiing and snow caped mountains and their slopes. Skiing, snowboarding, paragliding, and other winter sports are quite famous and fantastic in this part of Kashmir. The added availability of breathtaking views makes the place a favourite with trekkers and skiers alike. The best time to visit is in the months from December to March, when the snow is nice and thick.

Narkand is located at an elevation of 2,708 m on the Hindustan Tibet Road and around 60 kms away from Shimla, one of the best and famous holiday destination in Himachal Pradesh. There are different slopes for different levels of skiers; there are a few easy ones that allow beginners to perfect their skills. While the advanced level skiers have the opportunity to challenge themselves on the steeper descents, the beginners can try a hand at skiing under the guidance of ski instructors.

  • Munsiyari, Uttarakhand

Munsiyari is a beautiful holiday destination situated on the banks of Goriganga River in the Pithoragarh District of Uttarakhand. It is a fast growing tourist destination, and mountaineers, glacier enthusiasts, high altitude trekkers and nature lovers commonly use it as their hub or base camp. Much like the snowboarding, skiing in Munsiyari is equally popular.

  • Mundali, Uttarakhand

Mundali, situated around 35 kms from Chakrata, Uttarakhand, is a popularly known for snowboarding and skiing as well.The natural prettiness and majestic delightful backdrop have made it a perfect choice for all sorts of travelers, camp lovers, trekkers, snow-sports’ experts, and nature devotees.

  • Yumthang Valley, Sikkim

The Yumthang Valley is a nature sanctuary with river, hot springs, yaks and grazing pasture on rolling meadows surrounded by the snow caped Himalayan mountains in Northern Sikkim. It is located at a distance of 140 km from Gangtok and an elevation of 3,564 m above sea level. A forest house is the only permanent residence in the valley.

  • Dayara Bugyal, Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand has plenty of option for enjoying Skiing in Winters and Dayara Bugyal is also one of them. Dayara Bugyal is situated in Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand, provides huge snow caped slopes for best skiing experiences. Dayara Bugyal has also has the beautiful lake of Barnala Tal in its midst, which is a famous camping site for most trekkers and visitors to the area.

  • Kufri, Himachal Pradesh

Kufri is situated 16 kms away from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and the pristine natural beauty of Kufri is not so steep surface which makes it a ideal place for all the skii lovers at the beginners level. Kufri has seen increasing level of snow and skii lovers over the years and this place is also not far away from big cities like Delhi and Chandigarh which makes it a best place this winter.
